If you’re using an AMD graphics card on Windows 11, it is probably best to avoid the latest KB5030310 cumulative preview update as it has been causing some bother with the Adrenalin Control Panel.
Windows 11 Adrenalin Control Panel Issues
As reported by Tomshardware, a community post on the AMD forums has brought attention to an issue with the latest Windows 11 KB5030310 update which has caused the AMD Adrenalin Control Panel to reset its settings to default. This is a bother for those that often use the control panel to tinker around with the settings for the GPU as getting them constantly reset is quite annoying. Fortunately, though this shouldn’t be too much of a problem for the average user who doesn’t do that, plus the drivers are all working fine.
The fix for this is simply either don’t install the update or if you have, uninstall it and follow the instructions that were shared by “rawintellect” on the AMD community post which involve disabling co-pilot using an external tool called vivetool.
