You may remember us informing you that Windows 7 was boxed and ready and at the highlight of the pre-product launch Microsoft were defending the pricing structure. It has now come to light that a release date has been set in stone.
After us giving you a date in a previous article. Microsoft have officially announced the release date as 22nd October 2009, the same as we predicted. Companies are already holding pre-order processes in place so that you can buy Windows 7 early, months before it’s appearance on shelves.
Also, just as with the XP/Vista transition, many new pre-built computers, and laptops with Windows Vista, will be offered an upgrade to Windows 7, when released.
