Windows 8 Apps To Run On The Xbox One

A few months ago rumors were spreading out which said that Windows 8 apps would be ported over to the upcoming Xbox One game console. It made a lot of sense too, since the new Xbox is pretty much entirely based on PC architecture, and runs Microsoft’s own code. But up until now, we had not heard about any such cross-platform compatibility from Microsoft’s side, or even from AMD. However, Dell decided to break the ice here and spill the beans on this “little” project. A pre-order page for the Xbox One on Dell’s official website lists a very interesting feature which, in a million years, wouldn’t miss a keen eye.
Here’s what the official statement looks like:
“Consider the game officially changed. With all your favorite Windows 8 apps able to be run on and synced to your Xbox One, now your phone, desktop, tablet and TV can all give you a unified web and entertainment experience.”
The information provided is enough proof for every non-believer. What we are wondering is when would Microsoft have announced this feature, or is everybody supposed to have found out about it on their own?
