According to The Next Web, sources close to Microsoft stated that a public beta version of the upcoming Windows 8 is to be expected sometime late February.
While uncertainty is still in the air, the expected release date is in 2H 2012, and even though no exact date is known, it still gives a better view of when to expect the ‘released to manufacturer’ (RTM) copy.
If we were to take Windows 7’s release as a base we should see RTM copies release in June, which should then make a very good 2H 2012 for Microsoft with the sales of the OS alone along with the pre-built system with the OS already installed as well as the new integration into tablets.
So far so good, all that is unknown are the features the beta will come with, which in the end is almost like not knowing anything except when to expect it, and even this is rather unsure.
