The Next Web reports that the Windows Phone Store has passed 9 million daily transactions putting the monthly total at around 270 milion. That is up a staggering 70 million since June when CEO Steve Ballmer reported it was around 200 million per month. Microsoft is continuing to streamline payments from carrirers so that developers are eligible for payouts every 30 days.
It isn’t all good news though as Microsoft will be implementing targeted ads into the Windows Phone store in an effort to make more revenue with advertising partners. Microsoft will issue all Windows Phone devices with unique device IDs to help target ads, though users will be opt out on the Microsoft website and Microsoft claims these unique device IDs won’t expose any personal information.
