Microsoft and its customers are probably more than used to seeing leaked versions of Windows operating systems popping up on the internet well before the release date and the Windows RT 8.1 RTM operating system joins this list. Windows 8.1 RTM has already been leaked quite some time ago ahead of the official release of both new tablet and desktop operating systems on October 17th.
Download links for the respective Windows RT 8.1 RTM operating systems can be seen over on the MDL Forums. The leaks include a large collection of language packs and device drivers. The source claims they are untouched original ISO files from Microsoft. The build string of the RT RTM version is 9600.16384.130821-1623 – the same as the regular x86/x64 versions. Of course it is recommended that if you have a Windows RT tablet then you should wait for the official update to come in October but if you can’t wait till then this is another option for you.
