Polish role-player The Witcher 2 has stormed the UK all-format charts, taking first place.
Reigning chart champion FIFA Street, last week’s number one, was booted down to second.
98 per cent of sales counted last week were for the new Xbox 360 version, although Chart-Track does not count PC digital download sales.
The UK top 40 otherwise remains unchanged. Last week’s other three new releases failed to find chart placings: Bleach: Soul Resurrection on PlayStation 3, Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention on Vita and Battleship on every format ever.
FIFA 12, Kinect Star Wars and Mass Effect 3 made up the rest of the top five, respectively. Chart stalwarts Tiger Woods 12, Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Mario & Sonic Olympics and Modern Warfare held firm in the remainder of the top 10.
