The Witcher books by Andrzej Sapkowski served as inspiration for some of the most outstanding RPGs of all time, and the latest installment, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is definitely one of the most amazing games I’ve ever played. However, using a high-end PC is not the only way to enjoy The Witcher, as next year is set to bring an official tabletop role-playing game for the famous franchise. The project was designed by R.Talsorian Games, who is also responsible for the Cyberpunk 2020 masterpiece.
The tabletop version of the renowned CRPG was announced recently on The Witcher website, and it looks like it will be based on the “Fuzion” rule set that was introduced for the first time in the third revision of the Cyberpunk series, Cyberpunk v3.0. No other details have been released at this point, but we do know that players will have access to “all the necessary tools” to explore and enjoy The Witcher world with the help of various character types and classes.
Tabletop role-playing games are enjoyed in the company of friends and are played with pencils, erasers and dice as opposed to PC keyboards and controllers. Some would argue that they are even more enjoyable than conventional RPGs, but those Witcher 3 graphics are not exactly easy to ignore.
