Back in November at Blizzcon, Blizzard revealed their plans for Legion, and the World of Warcraft Patch 7.2.0 is finally arriving on the 28th March. Patch 7.2.0 is huge, a lot of work has gone into this update, but can it bring back the ever falling player-base?
There are FAR too many items in the patch notes to go through, I’d be here for quite some time and quite honestly, I’d had enough of WoW ever since the end of Burning Crusade, but that’s just me. However, let’s look at some of the key features coming with patch 7.2.0.
The main focus of this patch is the new raid, The Tomb of Sargeras, and it’s actually awesome to see Kil’Jaeden return to the game. The raid will not be available straight away, Blizzard obviously wants people to spend time doing the other tedious things before they are allowed to enjoy themselves. A new trailer has been released which may shed some more light on why Kil’Jaeden is here.
Due to the lack of legendary items currently available to players (sarcasm intended), the patch brings in a whole load more, some are available to craft, such as a plate belt and cloth shoulders. They are also bringing in a long list of class changes, to some this will be welcomed, but to most, this will be somewhat of an annoyance.
There’s also The Broken Shore;
Return to the front lines of the Burning Legion’s invasion in this new Scenario. Complete it to unlock a new questing hub with World Quests that make up a new Emissary and faction: Armies of Legionfall. Join in a new region-wide, cross-faction effort to construct buildings to fight against the Legion’s stronghold.
New Class Campaigns;
Every class continues its campaign to unify in the war effort. Your Class Hall is the base from which you will embark on a new quest chain, find a new potential Follower, and discover new class-specific World Quests. All new epic class mounts are now available! Complete the new class mount quests to obtain yours.
And of course, a new dungeon;
The upper chambers of the Tomb of Sargeras were once a place of worship to Elune. Since the Legion’s invasion, fel minions have desecrated this holy place, twisting it into their own image. Now, this site will host a battle that could turn the tide of the invasion. While the Armies of Legionfall engage the fel army directly, a small group of heroes infiltrates the upper reaches of the cathedral in a desperate hope to return the Aegis of Aggramar to its resting place.
Here is a link to the current 7.2.0 patch notes, there is quite a lot to go through and I suspect this may not be a complete list. The official full patch notes will be available when the patch is launched next week.
