Wouldn’t it be funny if iOS 5 had already been Jailbroken before release?

Well, not that I want to make too much of a joke at Apple’s expense but yes they have only just announced their iOS 5 and it has already been jailbroken. This is before it is even available to iPhone users.
The culprits are quite typical, a member of the iPhone Dev Team, who have been responsible for most full Jailbreaks so far. This time it was Muscle Nerd who ‘knuckled down and broke it’.

Currently the jailbreak requires the device to be connected to the PC to get it to boot but this will soon be improved. The jailbreak gives you all the functionalities of this device that you could ever want and most importantly allows you to access the hidden file structure which can be seen on any Mac etc.
According to MuscleNerd the jailbreak of the iOS 5 (beta) will still work in the final release so in theory the jailbreak will be available within seconds of iOS 5 being released.
Unfortunately, iOS 5 is still a few months away from release. Typical!
