It’s been an incredibly long time since I managed to escape the clutches of World of Warcraft (WoW), but I have to admit that with my wife still happily playing it, the latest Dragonflight update was certainly on her gaming radar if nothing else. – With that being said though, as often is the case when a new WoW expansion drops, there’s always something of an informal race to see who can be the first to hit the new level cap.
And following a report via Gamespot, we now know how quickly that happened. Yep, someone managed to hit level 70 on WoW Dragonflight within just 145 minutes of it being released.
Now, just to clarify a point for those of you who have been out of the WoW loop for a while, aside from representing a brand new expansion, WoW Dragonflight also undertook a new radical change to the levelling system effectively looking to bring the numbers back down to something significantly less intimidating than the 120 it had immediately prior to the previous Shadowlands DLC. – So, in other words, this release saw players scrambling to get from level 60 to level 70.
Now, as often is the case in WoW, while there are clearly quite a few level 70 players rocking around the game now, those who take this race quite seriously often put a lot of work and research into pre-release beta release. Specifically in order to attempt to find the most efficient levelling path.
With the first person managing this in 145 minutes, however, I daresay that at this point they should bask in their achievement, and then go outside and actually touch some grass.
