X2 is launching another chassis for their Spartan series. This time it is the compact micro-ATX Spartan 716 measuring 216(W) x 315(D) x 312(H)mm. Its measurements are closer to a cube-style design rather than the traditional tower layout.
Just like their Spartan Gamer ATX case, it features a dual chamber design. The left chamber is for the power supply and drives. Meanwhile, the right side chamber is where an inverted mATX motherboard installs into.
As for component support, users can fit two 3.5″ HDD and one 2.5″ SSD inside. Maximum video card length is up to 245mm, while maximum CPU cooler height is up to 160mm. There are also four expansion slots available and it also comes with tempered glass panels at the front, and both sides.
In terms of cooling, the front and top has room for either a 120mm or 140mm fan, while the bottom fits 80mm fans.
The X2 Spartan 716 has an MSRP of only €59.95, which is pretty good for a triple tempered-glass panel chassis. In the US, the MSRP is $69.99.
It does not come with any fans pre-installed, which helps keep the price affordable.
