X2 Launches Twisted SIRYUS Chassis
Bohs Hansen / 8 years ago
X2 has launched some unique looking PC cases in the past, but the new SIRYUS chassis comes with a twist, pun intended. The SIRYUS is a new open frame concept constructed of a 0.6mm SECC metal structure and 0.3mm aluminum panels while the sides are closed by real tempered and tinted glass, forming an eye-catching design.
The case can hold up to E-ATX sized motherboards which already tells us that it isn’t the smallest chassis around. It can fit a total of six 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives in its multipurpose drive trays as well as two 5.25-inch drives such as optical drives or devices using the same size drive bays such as front-facing motherboard add-ons
There is space for up to seven 120mm cooling fans, three front, three top, and one rear. The SIRYUS also allows for thick sized water cooling radiators and systems with a length up to 360mm. That should take care of most cooling needs. It also comes with two USB3.0 and two USB2.0 ports as well as AC97 and HD Audio connections.
Clearance wise, the case allows for CPU coolers with a maximum height of up to 180mm and add-in cards such as graphics cards with a length of up to 430mm. The PSU is positioned at the bottom of the case and it is enclosed for better airflow.
With the material chosen in the SIRYUS, we can already guess that it won’t be the cheapest case on the block, and it isn’t. It comes with an MSRP of €259.99 in Europe and $294.99 in the US – both prices are without VAT. It is backed by a two-year warranty.
