The same source that leaked the specs of Xbox 720’s cpu 2 weeks ago have now leaked the GPU specification of Microsoft’s next generation console; the Xbox 720.
According to the specs, the gpu uses a clock speed of 800MHz and 32MB of fast embedded ESRAM which is free from restriction in Xbox 360’s EDSRAM. The console will also be using a 2-stage cache system which consists of 4x L2 caches with 128KB write-back cache. According to VGleaks, the GPU supports 2x, 4x and 8x MSAA.
It is anticipated that Microsoft will début the new console during E3 expo in June. As of now, Sony will be hosting their PlayStation media event on 20th of this month where it’s speculated that we will get to see their next gen console.
