Xbox 720 to include AMD graphics technology

AMD’s Neal Robison has recently suggested that Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox console (the 720) will include AMD-manufactured graphics technology in order to push the quality of the gaming experience to ultimate levels. They even went as far as saying it will have graphics with as much detail as the Avatar film, which is certainly a tall order.

Robison did not confirm that the next generation console was even in the design stages, and instead eluded to the next generation hardware that could bring realism to a whole new level.

According to AMD the next generation game console will also allow for higher degrees of game AI, which will enable each and every character to react differently with their own mentality.

Microsoft hasn’t officially announced any plans for a console to replace the Xbox 360 but we can be pretty sure they will do soon!
