The much-anticipated Xbox Developer Direct is officially happening on Thursday, January 23, 2025. This special event will showcase upcoming video games for Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass. Teams from Xbox and third-party partners will reveal new details, gameplay footage, and updates about several highly-awaited titles, including Doom: The Dark Ages.

The event will kick off at 1 PM Eastern Time and can be streamed for free on YouTube and Twitch. The presentation is expected to last 45 minutes, similar to previous editions. Microsoft has confirmed that the showcase will focus on four games:

The mysterious fourth title has already sparked curiosity among fans. Rumors suggest it could be a remake or remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a classic Bethesda game from 2006. According to speculation, this project has been in development for years in collaboration with Virtuos Games and is set for a 2025 release.
