Xbox Games Top Pre-Orders on PlayStation Store, Proving Success of Multi-Platform Strategy
Microsoft has long embraced a multi-platform strategy, releasing games not only on Xbox and PC, but also on Nintendo Switch and, more recently, on PlayStation 5. This approach seems to be paying off, especially when we look at the pre-order success of Xbox games on PS Store.
Two notable games, Forza Horizon 5 and Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle, have been among the top pre-ordered titles on Sony’s platform.
Top Pre-Ordered Xbox Games on PS Store
As seen in the images above, Forza Horizon 5 and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are topping the charts in various markets, including the USA, United Kingdom, Italy, and Japan. The games have been a huge success, with fans eager to get their hands on these titles.
Interestingly, in Japan, the two Microsoft games did not make it to the top positions. However, it’s important to note that Japan’s gaming market is quite different from the rest of the world, and the fact that these games are even on the list is a notable achievement.
Microsoft’s Strategy Proving Successful
These figures are continuously updated, and they clearly show that Microsoft’s multi-platform strategy is working well. PS5 gamers don’t seem to mind purchasing games from a rival company, proving that the boundaries between platforms are becoming increasingly blurred.
However, it’s also worth noting that Sony’s own exclusives, like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Days Gone Remastered, are also performing well on the platform, showing the variety of choices available to gamers across different systems.
