Xbox Live Gold members are in for a real treat come January, as they will receive four free games as part of the “Games with Gold” program. Two of these games were designed for the Xbox 360 console while the other two are Xbox One titles. However, users will be able to enjoy both Xbox 360 titles on their Xbox One consoles, as these games are backwards compatible. The Xbox One games are Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition, which will be available for download during the entire month of January while Zheros will be provided for free from January 16 to February 15.
As far as the Xbox 360 is concerned, Dirt: Showdown will become available for free from January 1 to January 15, followed by Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which will be free from January 15 to January 31. If you think about it, these are some incredibly good deals, as Killer Instinct alone features an estimated retail price of $39.99, not to mention Dirt: Showdown and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which retail for $14.99 each. It looks like the free downloads will help justify Xbox Live Gold’s membership costs, which is why they will surely be well received by gamers from all over the world. Speaking of which, it’s also worth noting that some regions might offer different titles than the ones we mentioned above depending on market availability.
