The Xbox One Elite console bundle comes with the highly-regarded Elite controller and a 1TB SSHD drive. Initially, the Xbox One Elite package was expensive and cost significantly more than the standard model. This is to be expected because the bundled controller retails for around £100-£110 on its own. Of course, the Xbox One S has made the original larger units less desirable and resulted in fairly significant price cuts. Clearly, Microsoft wants to shift the older stock and sell the Xbox One S alongside the upcoming Scorpio console.
Today, retailers and Microsoft themselves dramatically cut the Xbox One Elite bundle to £199.99. This is an incredible price when you consider the controller’s value and ability to use it on PC. This essentially makes the console with a 1TB hard drive, a mere £99. Currently, the console is in stock from Microsoft’s store, GAME and Tesco Direct. Interestingly, Tesco discounted the console to £179.99 but this was revised to £199.99 fairly quickly. Personally, I’ve been hunting around to find the Elite controller at a good price. Even though I’m not overly interested in the console itself, this bundle may be difficult to resist. As always, it’s important to act quickly because stock is probably quite limited.
