Microsoft has released the February update for Xbox One, which features a quick-connect controller function, plus updates for party chat and TV.
A recurring annoyance for Xbox One owners is the length of time it takes for the controller to sync with the console. The update halves the time it takes to connect after updating the controller’s firmware via micro USB. The stability of the controller’s wireless connection has also been improved.
A new feature introduced in the update is game hubs. Every Xbox One gets its own hub, compiling leaderboards, broadcasts, friends’ gaming reports, and guides for those who need help beating a game.
Party chat is getting stability updates, while TV now has an improved IR blaster and will show film and TV trends from Twitter and Xbox One.
