One of the biggest announcements at this years E3 wasn’t a new AAA title or gaming console, it was Microsoft Announcement of backwards compatibility on the Xbox One to play old Xbox 360 games on the new console. A feature that had been requested by users for a long time. Right of the start there were close to hundred games announced to be compatible and now 43 games have been added to that list, including Wither 2 and Dark Souls 2.
The recently released Windows 10 brings even more benefit to the table as it allows you to stream your Xbox One games to the PC and play them there – and soon you’ll be able to do the same with a long list of Xbox 360 games. The new feature is scheduled for a November release, something that should provide Xbox owners with a lot to do over the holidays.
Finder.com.au has been putting together a list of Xbox 360 titles that will be backwards compatible and that is where the 43 newly added games can be found, bringing the total up to 130. Particular highlights of the latest additions include: Dark Souls II, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, I Am Alive, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Saints Row The Third, Soul Calibur IV, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Trials Evolution and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
