Xbox One Needs Official Launch Date Proclaims EA COO

Peter Moore, the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Electronic Arts (EA), believes that Microsoft needs to reveal gamers the release date of the Xbox One. Peter Moore stated that:
“this is precedent setting, it has never happened this way. There’s always been a period of time, a sorbet between consoles, that has cleansed the palate and allowed us to move on. It might be a week, who knows? Microsoft needs to cough up the date.”
Of course it would benefit both EA and Microsoft to reveal a launch date as it allows gamers to plan their spending on what games they want to buy and when. It would also allow EA to plan its advertising more effectively because currently it is not allowed to disclose the Xbox One launch date so cannot target advertising based on that.
Sony’s PlayStation 4 launches on November 15th in North America and November 29th in Europe. Microsoft’s Xbox One is expected to launch in November but nobody really knows when, November 8th is the most speculated date but Microsoft already denied that this was being used. Most recent speculation suggests the second half of November.
