Xbox One X and One S Launching Worldwide November 7

During the E3 press event, Microsoft has finally officially unveiled the Project Scorpio console they have been working on for a while now. Now officially called Xbox One X, the new games console will be available worldwide with the Xbox Ones on November 7. For now, Microsoft previewed the “true” 4K gaming console with demoes of Forza 7 motorsport and Metro Exodus, touting the features available with the powerful hardware inside.

Microsoft Xbox One X Features

Much of the rumours going around have been confirmed to be true. Inside is a 16nm 360mm-squared chip with 7-billion transistors, producing 6 teraflops of GPU power at 1.172GHz. It is equipped with 12GB of GDDR5 memory with 326GB/s of memory bandwidth, able to deliver true 4K rendering. The GPU is using a vapor-chamber liquid cooling method to keep the heatsink compact and low-profile

While the higher resolution and true 4K capability is nice, what about those with a 1080p screen? The good news is that Xbox One X is also capable of supersampling. The actual game is processed in 4K and supersampled to a smaller screen. This produces better fidelity and quality than a natively 1080p rendered scene. The Xbox One X is also capable of applying anisotropic filtering and boasts faster load times than ever before. Xbox One X also happens to be the most compact Xbox console ever made.

When it launches on November, there will be 44 games available. Of those titles, 22 are Xbox exclusive. All Xbox One accessories and games are also compatible with the Xbox One X.
