One thing Xbox has over PlayStation is the customizability of its controllers through both Design Lab and the unique exclusive designs that are released standalone. Xbox has many designs on offer and now they have added another by the name of Gold Shadow which is exactly as it says on the tin.
The new Gold Shadow controller features a gold-to-black metallic finish on its top case with the D-Pad also featuring a metallic gold finish. The rest of the controller features a carbon black design as well as textured rubber grips on the outer side of the controller. Gold-coloured tech often looks pretty tacky but I think the blend of black and gold makes this one a bit nicer and not too in your face.
Like other Xbox controllers, this one connects with both Xbox Wireless, Bluetooth and USB-C with compatibility on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One Consoles, PC, iOS and Android with seamless pairing. It offers a 40-hour battery life as well as a 3.5mm jack and remappable buttons through the Xbox Accessories App.
The Xbox Wireless Controller – Gold Shadow Special Edition is available for pre-order today in select Xbox markets worldwide for $69.99 USD ERP. Visit Xbox.com or your local retailer, including Microsoft Store, for more information.
