The current generation of consoles were a good source of memes when they first launched focusing mostly upon their designs and their resemblance to other household appliances. For example the PS5 was compared to a router and the Xbox Series X was compared to a mini fridge which Xbox fully embraced with an official Series X mini fridge. Alongside the Series X was the cheaper Series S which following the trend, has been compared and turned into a toaster.
To pair up with the Series S Mini Fridge, is now a Series S Toaster as spotted by Wario64 on Twitter (Via TomsHardware) who spotted a listing on the Walmart webstore. The Series S Toaster is listed on Walmart.com for £39.99 and features an extra long slot with room for two slices of bread which receive an Xbox logo imprint when toasted. It also comes with a 6 browning level dial which in my own experience means 1-2 is still bread, 3-4 is toast and 5-6 is charcoal. Additionally there are 4 different functions, removable crumb tray, automatic shut off and an LED digital countdown. It looks almost identical to the original leak seen back in March 2023
For $39.99 it is well within the standard toaster pricing range and doesn’t seem to have much of an Xbox Tax. As of writing it is unavailable with 1000+ bought since yesterday. It also appears to only be available in the US at Walmart and after a quick search doesn’t seem to be listed elsewhere.
