Xbox Series X Prices in Brazil Soar to Nearly $2,000 Due to Shortage and Speculation

A digital newspaper, Folha de S.Paulo, recently published an article reporting that Microsoft has confirmed to two official stores that they no longer plan to restock Xbox Series X units in Brazil. This seems to suggest a shift in the company’s sales strategy for South America.
Will Xbox Series X Disappear from Brazil?
Despite this, an American distributor clarified that, according to the information they have, the Xbox Series X will not completely disappear from the country. Instead, the number of units being sent to Brazil will be significantly reduced.
Xbox Prices Skyrocket Due to Speculation

As often happens when a product is scarce and there are rumors that it will no longer be restocked, this situation has created the perfect opportunity for many speculators to take advantage of it. Xbox Series X units have already started appearing on various buy-and-sell sites and even in stores, with prices reaching as high as $2,000.
In response to this, Microsoft released an official statement saying that players will still be able to enjoy the console in other countries. In Brazil, they can continue using “their current consoles, PCs, with Game Pass and on smart phones, tablets or TVs with Xbox Cloud Gaming.”
