Xbox has revealed that Xbox Live Gold will be getting replaced by a new Game Pass Core subscription officially saying goodbye to Xbox Live branding.
In a video shared on the Xbox YouTube page, it has been officially announced that Xbox Live Gold will be getting replaced with a new Game Pass subscription named Core. This subscription won’t be changing much from Xbox Live Gold and will automatically be applied to existing Xbox Gold members. The new subscription will continue to provide online access but will now feature the inclusion of a smaller Game Pass as opposed to the monthly Games With Gold which will be ending on September 1st. It was also noted that users can continue to play their redeemed Games with Gold titles so long as they are subscribed to Game Pass Core. Game Pass Core will cost $9.99 per month and will include over 25 high-quality games on the console as opposed to the hundreds that you get for an extra $1 with Game Pass Console. Currently, Xbox has confirmed these 19 games:
