Xbox Video App For Windows Phone Now Available On The Windows Phone Store

While Microsoft keeps nagging about the lack of apps on Nokia’s Windows Phone Store, it seems that they can hardly be excused themselves for not offering one of their own services on their own platform. The lack of Xbox video on Windows Phone has been the subject of criticism for the platform over the past few weeks. This was partly due to the 6-inch phablet that Nokia released, the Lumia 1520, a phone that is tailor-made for movie watching, without the support of Xbox video. Today however, Microsoft has finally made available the Xbox video app for Windows Phone.
Features:
- Get the latest TV shows the day after they air
- Ratings and reviews
- Rent and buy the latest blockbuster movies
- Resume watching from where you left off
- Stream or Download movies and TV
- Trailers
There is a downside however. The app does not currently support HD playback, rendering it pretty useless until it does. But Microsoft has assured users that it will be added sometime next year.
