After 10 months of development, Team Dragonpunk has released the beta of their XCOM 2 Tactical Co-op Mod! This is an unofficial mod, despite the fact that the mod is titled with “Official” in the Steam Workshop, but whatever. The mod is pretty cool, and while it does take a bit of tinkering to get it working, having the ability to play XCOM 2 with a friend is pretty awesome.
XCOM developer, Firaxis, has also said that they’re working to approve code in a future update that will allow up to 12 commanders, which means that mods such as this one will be able to put one person in charge of every squad member, giving you a more involving team-based game that could make it a solid addition for a bit of LAN gaming action.
IF you want to download the mod, head on over to its Steam Workshop page right here.
