Xebec Tech Itouchpad Diamond Wireless Keyboard with Track Pad Review

The product itself is rather good looking and while we chose the Piano Black there are 2 other brilliant colour combinations, and we were really spoilt for choice.

The Xebec logo is fairly obviously placed in the top left.

On the opposite side, we have three indicator lights, which aren’t what you would expect with a normal keyboard. Instead of lighting up when the Num Lock, Caps Lock or Scroll Lock are activated, these light up when the keyboard is pairing, transmitting (both first LED) and when it has a low battery (second LED). The third is only on when it is being charged up. As such you have no way of knowing whether the ‘Lock’s’ are on or not.

The left-hand section of the keyboard looks fairly standard, but it does include the function key much like a laptop would. This is however in my view in the wrong place and should be switched with the CTRL key, but many laptops do also have it the other way round.

From the left-hand side of the keyboard you can see the curved design which looks pretty good while giving it that slight angle increase.

The bottom of the keyboard features the trackpad, which is very much like a laptop of a few years old, in the sense that you do still get two real buttons for the left and right clicks. Although of course you can click with the track pad as well.

Moving to the bottom of the keyboard we can see the Xebec tech logo.

A close-up reveals the Battery compartment which takes 2x AAA batteries,as well as a On/Off switch.

There is also a Pairing button which forces the keyboard to repair with the transmitter.

On the top side of the keyboard there is a small Micro USB connector which is used for recharging the batteries.

We also couldn’t forget about the little transmitter that you could see secured in the back of the keyboard.
