XFX PRO 1250W Black Edition Modular Power Supply Review

A Closer Look – Interior

The internals of the XFX PRO 1250W are Seasonic made. The platform is one of Seasonic’s most advanced high end platforms on the market as it uses a full bridge LLC resonant topology and DC-DC converters integrated onto the modular panel which allows for further efficiency improvements. The design features abundant input filtering and makes use of all Japanese capacitors including three Nippon Chemi-Con made hold-up capacitors rated for 330uF, 420V and 105 degrees celsius operation. The entire unit is cooled by a Protechnic Electric MGA13512YF-025 135mm fan capable of up to 2100 RPM. You can find a more detailed technical analysis of this power supply’s key internal components right here if you’re interested.
