The box comes in a black and light blue style with its Double D technology as the main point of focus for this card. Also noted at the bottom is the 3Gb of GDDR5 memory and that it runs on the PCI-e 3.0 architecture.
The back gives a deeper insight into the next generation of graphics cards – with performance, quality, graphics detail and the overall experience in mind. We do note to the bottom corner that this card is HD/4K ready which is a new standard that we are due to see very soon as with regards to stereoscopic and 3D gaming resolutions. Right at the bottom of the box is listed the output specifications and connectors that are available on the rear of the card.
One side of the box goes into the eyefinity and multi-monitor performance of this card and below an insight into how XFX select their cards for the Black Edition branding.
The other side of the box gives us a complete run down of every feature the card has to offer.
The 7950 Black Edition comes with a bunch of paperwork including warranty, installation and quick install guides, driver CD, a door sign with ‘Do Not Disturb – I’m Gaming’ upon it, information on their PRO series PSUs and the their other products including various adaptors and connectors, a CrossFireX bridge, HDMI to DVI cable and lastly a swish looking XFX Black Edition case badge.
