XFX Radeon RX 580 and RX 570 Graphics Cards Pictured

More information and photos are surfacing as the April 18 release date approaches for AMD’s Radeon RX 580 and RX 570 graphics cards, and as usual VideoCardz.com has the scoop. The latest is from manufacturer XFX, who appears to be using a different design on one of their new models compared to their previous generation Radeon RX 480 and RX 470 graphics cards.

The new model design uses a four-heatpipe copper direct contact heatsink design and dual 90mm fans on a shroud that has a dual octagonal shape and extends further than the PCB. The custom XFX RX 400-series video cards on the other hand, used softer shapes and curves.

The new XFX RX 580/570 design also has an integrated backplate that extends wide to match the shroud, overlapping the PCB as well. Since CrossFire cables are no longer required for running dual Radeon video cards simultaneously, the only cut-away on the side is for the single 8-pin power connector towards the front.  At the rear, there is a DVI-D port, three DisplayPorts and one HDMI port.

Another model re-uses the dual-fan shroud design of the XFX 400-series HardSwap video card models but with different colors (XFX HardSwap fans are easily detachable so it can be cleaned or replaced when broken). The fan itself is red and the shroud is black, extending slightly larger than the PCB and the heatsink system appears to use larger 8mm thick heatpipes but only using two of them on a smaller aluminum fin radiator. It also has an integrated backplate covering the entire length and width of the PCB and has three DisplayPorts, one HDMI and one DVI-D connector in the rear bracket.
