XFX RX 480 Double Dissipation Pictured

With the custom RX 480 graphics cards set to launch likely within the month, more pictures have been popping up for various models. One of those is from XFX with their new Radeon RX 480 Double Dissipation. Not only are we getting more pictures of the card but also more details about its custom nature.
First off XFX has improved the design with their own custom PCB. This is reported to improve overclocking performance along with the use of an 8pin PCIe power connector. XFX has been rumoured to offer one of the highest RX 480 factory overclocks so it’ll be interesting to find out if that’s true. Most custom cards are reaching the 1300 Mhz+ range but maybe we’ll get a 1400 Mhz+ card?
Next up, we have the Double Dissipation heatsink which takes a new design approach. There are a total of 4 composite copper heatpipes attached to the copper heat spreader which offers 30% more surface area. That is cooled by the two large fans by the reportedly thicker fins in the heatsink. Of course, we also get a nice backplate. Just like Sapphire, the fans are swappable as well and there a direct contact VRM cooler. Hopefully, we’ll see the custom cards arrive next week and some word on pricing as well.
