Pricing
The XFX TS 650W power supply costs $99.99 at Amazon and $99.99 at Newegg in North America. In the UK it costs around £75 at Amazon and £70 at Dabs. The XFX TS 650 also has a 5 year warranty.
Conclusion
The XFX TS 650W power supply is a great all-round performer offering Seasonic’s usual high standards of performance but at an incredibly attractive price point for its 80 Plus Gold Certification and high quality components. On offer with the XFX TS 650W, is very strong voltage regulation, on average within 1.25% of expected values, high PFC performance and sterling ripple suppression. The efficiency exceeds the 80 Plus Gold certification but is a little shy of 80 Plus Platinum. The unit is on the whole very quiet until you start to hit the upper portion of the load curve, with 80-100% getting noisy, even when inside a case. The TS 650 benefits from an all-black cable design that is typically reserved for expensive fully modular units, but because this unit is non-modular it is still able to bring these nice cables in at a low price point. The sweet deal that the XFX TS 650 offers is topped off nicely with a 5 year warranty. Compact system builders might also note that at just 14cm in length this power supply is ideal for high performance mini-ITX single graphics card or micro-ATX single and dual graphics card configurations; the fact that the efficiency is so high is also a bonus for minimizing heat output.
