XFX XTS 460W Passive Fully Modular Power Supply Review

A Closer Look – Interior

The XFX XTS 460 is based on the Seasonic Platinum 460 Fanless platform. This uses Seasonic’s new KM3 design which has a full bridge topology with LLC resonant converter on the primary side and DC to DC converts for the secondary side and minor rails. Seasonic have located the minor rail generation closer to the modular PCB to reduce heat-loss and increase efficiency. The primary hold-up capacitor is Nippon Chemi-Con made and rated for 105 degrees celsius operation, 420V and 270 uF. The overall build quality and soldering quality is of the usual exceptional Seasonic standard. You can find a more detailed component analysis here.
