XIGMATEK is a name I haven’t heard of in years, which is strange, as when I reviewed some of their cases many years ago, I really liked what they were doing. Perhaps I’ll be in touch for a sample soon, though, as XIGMATEK has just introduced the Aquarius Plus Queen, and it looks pretty fantastic.
It’s actually a recolour of their Aquarius Plus wide-format ATX mid-tower, which released a few years ago. Of course, if you haven’t already noticed, they’ve gone for a pink theme this time around. I mean… it’s not like you can miss that; it’s REALLY pink.
The pink really pops, too, as they’ve changed the case’s black parts to a crisp white, making the case seem even brighter. Then you have two sides of crystal-clear tempered glass, so you’ll have no issues showing off your latest build. Other than the shift in colour and tone, though, the case does remain basically the same as the original from 2019.
The Aquarius Plus Queen features a dual-chamber design, with the back of the case offering hidden mounts for your storage, the power supply, and all your cable management. Of course, that means you can put the fancy stuff upfront, showing off your motherboard and graphics card.
It’s a fairly large case too, clocking in at 415 mm x 280 mm x 427 mm (LxWxH). It’ll take a 36cm GPU, a 15.8cm CPU cooler, and up to 10 x 120mm fans. However, there’s an optional adapter to mount the graphics card on its side too.
While XIGMATEK hasn’t revealed the price, we expect we’ll have that information fairly soon. Sure, it’s not going to be to everyone’s taste, but there are plenty of sensible-looking cases out there, and this pink monster is bound to find a good home with more than enough system builders.
