Conclusion
The benchmark results gave clear indication of this coolers potential when compared to similar products on the market, but as this has a MUCH lower price point, it definitely gives fantastic value for money over the likes of the Spire TherMax Pro and SilentSpirit from Gelid Solutions.
The Hyper 212 Plus from CoolerMaster did give slightly lower temperatures, but that was expected from it’s use of a bigger fan, and heatsink being slightly larger too. Also with a bigger price point, it really does depend on how far you are willing to push your CPU when overclocking.
For the average user purely wanting a quieter system and improved airflow, this is going to appeal to you whilst still giving some benefits to overclockers wanting to push their system to the limit and with a 4-pin PWM fan connector, you can be rest assured that your motherboard will keep a watchful eye over the fan speed and temperature, so that you recieve a nice balance between the two.
The only real downside is that a second fan can’t be installed for a push/pull configuration, but for the price point, it isn’t something that you’d really expect to get from a cooler of this calibre, but Xigmatek do make other coolers in their product catalogue to give you the functionality that you may want or need, but you will have to remember that the price will increase too.
