Xigmatek LOKI SD963 CPU Cooler Review

A Closer LookThe Loki features a dense fin array. The 3 heatpipes are aligned symmetrically along the heatsink itself.
The side is closed to create a wind tunnel effect allowing the fan’s airflow to be fully exploited and not wasted.
The H.D.T. base is formed by making the heatpipes smooth and flat. Ridges are used as to increase the surface area of the Aluminium cooling fins offering better heat dissipation ability.
The top of the heatsink features Xigmatek’s infamous X’ as well as the top of all 3 heatpipes extruding.
Mounting the fan makes use of the channels each side of the heatsink. The 92mm fan used complements the heatsink size perfectly.
With the fan installed, the Loki isn’t particularly wide ensuring that RAM interference is kept to a minimum.
A 4 pin PWM connector is used to allow the fan to function.
When dual fans are fitted, the Loki has a far more serious’ appeal to it.
