Xigmatek Midgard II Mid-Tower PC Chassis Review

Now that we have our system finished, we can see just how much you can fit in the Midgard II, while the cable management cut-outs are fairly limited in number and size, they do still hold up well enough to keep the airflow clear throughout the chassis, although some rubber grommets would have been nice just to keep things looking a little tidier.

As you can see here the bottom cable management cut-out suffers the most, we only have a few cables running through here too and things are starting to get a bit crowded, while you could get more cables through the slot, things are going to look pretty tangled in the rear of the chassis fairly quickly.

The Antec Kuhler 920 fits in this chassis nicely, of course after replacing the pre-installed 120mm fan in the rear with the dual fan radiator of the 920, but as you can see there is still a good amount of clearance between the CPU and the radiator.

Around the back of the chassis we can see everything fits in nicely, while there isn’t any ventilation on the expansion slot covers, there is still a little extra breathing room provided by the ventilation holes to the right of our graphics card.  Below the graphics card you can also see the fan controller that came with the chassis.

With the side panel on we can see the final product, with a great view through the side panel, I expect this case would look fantastic with some subtle lighting fitted inside.
