The Xigmatek Nebula C white edition is available from Overclockers UK for a very reasonable £54.95. While that’s not especially cheap, for something as well made and stylish as this, I think it’s worth every penny and a competitive price when compared to similar offerings in the compact cube-style chassis market.

Overview

In terms of design, Xigmatek have really done a great job with the Nebula C. As soon as I took it out of the box, I knew immediately that this is the kind of chassis I would want to own, as it would make a great sotluion for a HTPC setup. It’s clean and stylish appearance would look great next to a TV stand as much as it would sit on a desktop next to a white monitor. Of course, it’s not the most practical chassis for everyone, as it does have some limitations, but if you can live with that, then the style alone is enough to warrant a purchase in my opinion.

The limitations of this chassis are obvious, it doesn’t have the most extensive cooling setup, so some consideration has to be taken when picking your components. If you want a high-end overclocked rig, this may not be the best solution on the market. However, if you’re running a low powered CPU that can be kept cool with a low-profile, low-RPM fan, it’s perfect for the job. Then you’ve got the GPU size to consider, but with so many great graphics cards now having a mini-ITX option, you should still be able to turn this chassis into a nice gaming rig and it’s small enough to pick up and take with you to LAN gaming events.

Build quality is very good throughout and I especially like the glossy exterior panels, their glossy white finish looks and feels fantastic. The tool free design of the side panels is also a welcome feature and all the panels are easy to remove, yet still lock firmly in place. The top power button with its orange LED trim looks great too and also feels like a premium quality component; there’s not normally anything worth mentioning about a power button, but the one on the Nebula C is certainly worthy of my attention.
