Competitively priced power supplies are always going to appeal to system builders, especially if they offer a robust range of features and decent performance, as no one ever wants a cheap PSU. The new Shogun G power supply series from XIGMATEK certainly ticks all the right boxes for most system builders, offering 550, 650, and 750W variants, as well as 80 Plus Gold efficiency, which is always a nice thing to have.
All of the units come with hard-wired cables, which will certainly help keep their cost down. They come equipped with a 120mm double ball-bearing fan for cooling, which can operate as low as 16 dBa.
Each unit features all-Japanese capacitors, a single +12V rail design with active PFC, as well as the usual power safety features.
No word on pricing just yet, but we’re sure they’ll be detailed pretty soon and we look forward to getting one of these on our load tester in an upcoming review as soon as possible.
