Installation
Both coolers come with easy to us mounting plates with the screw pegs pre-installed, so it’s just a case of popping them on the back of the board and you’re good to go.
Of course, the I402 only has one mounting orientation, as it’s only compatible with Intel.
The I403 has fantastic RAM clearance, as it’s quite slim and set far away from our modules. The base of cooler also sits quite high from the CPU, leaving good clearance for any bulky VRAM cooling.
There’s plenty of space around the unit for easy access to the mounting screws and you can get the whole installation complete in about 60 seconds without needing to remove the fan from the tower.
The same can be said about the M403, its slim design leaves it free from conflicting with any motherboard components or the memory.
Once again, you have lots of clearance to be able to reach the mounting screws without removing the cooling fan.
