Today I’m taking a look at the XQ Interceptor chassis from Xilence, which may not be the biggest chassis that Xilence make but it certainly isn’t the smallest either. There are no shortage of enthusiasts in the PC market and this chassis is designed to target the extreme demands of high performance systems and the people that use them.
More and more people these days are looking for a chassis solution that offers them an extreme level of cooling expandability, with multiple air cooling solutions, closed loop and custom loop water cooling solutions for their multi GPU high performance gaming systems, heavy duty rending rigs or their excessive storage requirements for servers and more. There is generally one thing you need to achieve all of these features, space. Not as in “outer space” but more room to fit all these high end components, give them room to breath and naturally when it boils down to it, you also want it to look good.
“The Interceptor from Xilence represents an HPTX case of the very best quality. Hot Swap SSD/HDD support, space for a triple radiator, countless cable and hose routes as well as ten PCI slots all come together ro present an unprecedented combination of practical case features.” – interceptor.xilence.net
This is where the Interceptor comes into play, its a big chassis, has a rock solid feature list and on paper it looks like it could be a real contender as a starting point for any extreme performance system. So lets take a quick look at the specifications then well move on to see just what Xilence have to offer.
