XPG Defender Pro Mid-Tower PC Case Review

Exterior

While the XPG Defender Pro is available in black, it’s pretty obvious to all with the gift of sight that I have the white version. Honestly, I’m glad I do, because it looks ultra-stylish in white! It’s a really stunning finish, and it’s complemented well with the tempered glass panel on the left side. There’s a thick black border on the glass, which hides the frame and makes it look smarter overall.

Airflow is the order of the day, and there’s plenty of it here. A large diamond pattern mesh panel not only looks fantastic but will easily allow for great cooling potential in this case.

There are 120mm ARGB fans and a dust filter behind it too, so right out of the box, you’ll get good cooling, and some fancy lighting (more on that shortly).

The right side panel is just a clean steel panel, all finished in white. There are two screws, but they’re placed at the back, keeping this side looking smart.

Around the back, there’s a lot more white paint than I would have expected, with all the general fixtures and fittings finished in white too.

This even includes the expansion slot covers, which are all white, but also ventilated and reusable too. There are seven slots for the motherboard, but if you wish to use a riser cable (sold separately), you can use these two vertical slots too. There’s room for a 2.5 or 3 slot card, but the mounting plate will, of course, have to be two slots.

The rear mount is 120mm and allows for some height adjustment; handy for installing radiators. There’s another 120mm fan in the rear too.

You’ll find a huge dust filter up on the top, allowing for a lot of passive heat exhaust from the case. Of course, the filter will stop things like dust and debris from falling into your case too.

Below it, you’ll find there’s room for mount 2 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm fans, as well as similarly sized radiators.

There’s also a slide out filter for the PSU.
