The Gammix D20 isn’t the fastest or most expensive kit we’ve ever tested. However, it’s still capable of holding its own. It’s also the only 3600 MHz kit on the list, so it’s no surprise that it beats out most of them, with just a few of the much more expensive 3200 MHz kit outpacing it due to their larger heatsinks and tighter timings. Overall though, this is a pretty swift kit, offering very good bandwidth and competitive latency.
Overclocked
This kit didn’t really want to overclock that much, but considering it’s already 3600 MHz right out of the box, then that’s not really a big deal. It posted at 3600 MHz on the XMP profile with zero issues, which is always a good sign. I managed to squeeze in a +200MHZ boost, which netted mixed results. The overall performance was improved, but only marginally. The slightly looser timings actually lowered performance in WPRIME, albeit, that was to be expected. If you REALLY want this to perform faster, I’d pay the few extra quid for one of the faster sets, as it comes in up to a 4133 MHz variant.
