Xtrfy XG-M3-HEATON Optical Gaming Mouse and B1/C1 Bungee Review

Final Thoughts

Price

The Xtrfy M3 Heaton Optical Gaming Mouse (XG-M3-HEATON) is available from Overclockers UK for £64.99. That’s absolutely fantastic value for money given the quality and performance. The Xtrfy B1 Mouse Bungee with USB Hub (XG-B1-LED) is just £37.99 and the C! Adjustable Mouse Cord Holder is a bargain too at just £14.99.

Overview

Xtrfy set out to make a competitive gaming mouse, and they certainly delivered. There’s a lot on offer here, although ironically that’s mostly down to the lack of features, rather than the addition of them. Many consumer at-home gaming mice often come crammed full of features, as they’re designed for day-to-day work, and all games types, with macros, software suites, RGB lighting, and all kinds of stuff, but that’s not what you get with this mouse.

The M3 is very focused, it’s got responsive and light switches, a durable scroll wheel, a lightweight design, and a high-performance sensor, and that’s about it. Think of it more like a track-day sports car rather than a kitted out family saloon. In a tournament you don’t want lots of distractions, you can’t use desktop software, you don’t want the DPI button in the way; you just want a mouse that performs the same every single time and that’s basically what the M3 does.

For around the same price, you can get a lot of feature-packed gaming mice, but for most mice in this price range, the M3 has the advantage in terms of sensor performance; it’s absolutely flawless as all DPI settings. It’s around the same price as the Razer DeathAdder, Zowie ZA12, Mionix Castor, and a few SteelSeries offerings, which are pretty comparable, but with the name of a well-respected gaming team, and a slick design, it’s certainly appealing and if you like the design, we highly recommend it for gamers who play a lot of twitchy shooters like CS:GO, LoL, DOTA, and other competitive eSports titles. If you’re an at home gamer who likes to mix up between AAA FPS titles, MMORPG and your day-to-day work, you may want something a little less focused to suit a wider range of games.

“The Xtrfy M3 is a pro gaming mouse made by pro gamers, for pro gamers. If you want something that will deliver reliable, accurate and consistent results in the heat of battle, look no further!”
