Did you upgrade your Nvidia drivers yesterday? Are you wondering why you woke up this morning and you’re already being asked to upgrade your Nvidia drivers? It can be a little bothersome, especially if you’re on slow internet, as you need to replace the full driver suite each time. However, it seems like there’s a good reason to update again, as the “old” driver was screwing with the memory clock speeds for many users, which can be devastating to in-game performance.
The GTX 1080, 1070 and 1060 seemed to be the ones affected by the error, but the driver also seems to throw up some issues with CoD: Infinite Warfare and battlefield 1 in SLI and rolling back the driver is likely the best solution for those games, at least for now.
The new driver released today should fix the memory problems, but if you want to play it safe, wait a few days before updating until they’ve been proven stable.
