Russian smartphone manufacturer YotaPhone are set to officially unveil their new handset, the YotaPhone 2, at an exclusive event in London on 3rd December. They made the announcement on Twitter on Monday, accompanied by a teaser image of the smartphone (above):
What makes the YotaPhone 2 so unique is its secondary E-ink display on the reverse of the phone, offering high visibility, no glare, and low battery consumption, with the battery life of the E-ink screen estimated at 50 hours. The smartphone will also have the specs to compete with most high-end Android handsets, with a 5-inch 1080p display, 4.7-inch qHD E Ink display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, 8 megapixel camera, wireless charging, NFC, 2,550 mAh battery, and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
YotaPhone has not yet specified which international markets their forthcoming handset will be made available in, but more information should be available come the December press launch.
