You Can Now Add Videos in Your Facebook Comments

Facebook has received quite a few changes lately, some of which catered to its private chat emoticons, while others added GIF message functionality. However, the latest Facebook update aims to take things to a whole new level with the implementation of videos in comments and status updates. So just in case it’s always been your dream to comment on something with a simple video, you’ll be glad to know that you are now finally able to do so. The function can be activated by selecting the camera icon located just underneath a streak of replies. If the icon looks familiar, that’s because it was previously used to add photos in post comments.
It’s worth noting that the feature is available for regular users as well as for iOS and Android users, and that it was prototyped in just a single day as part of the company’s 50th Hackathon that took place earlier this year. Back in January, Facebook introduced live streaming capabilities while a dedicated video tab made its way to the service in April. According to Facebook engineer Bob Baldwin, it was “no small feat to add support across interfaces and within two heavy traffic services, like comments and videos,”
